노로바이러스, 지하수 사용 급식시설에서 특히 주의!   
   
  
식품의약품안전청은 지하수를 사용하는 일부 급식시설에서 노로바이러스가 검출됨에 따라 식중독 예방을 위하여 급식시설 관계자들의 각별한 주의를 당부한다고 밝혔다.

식약청은 금년 1월부터 4월말까지 학교 218개소, 청소년수련원 33개소 등 총 251개소를 검사한 결과 14개 학교(5.6%)에서 노로바이러스가 검출되었다고 전하고 노로바이러스가 검출된 곳은 주로 농촌 지역에 위치한 학교로서 아직까지 식중독 사고가 발생하지는 않았으나, 식중독 예방을 위하여 시설개보수, 물탱크 소독, 물 끓여먹기, 익히지 않은 메뉴 자제, 위생관리 철저 등 사전조치를 취했다고 밝혔다.

또한 식약청 관계자에 따르면 지난 5년간 국내 식중독 발생 현황 분석결과를 보면, 노로바이러스로 인한 식중독 사고는 겨울철에 많이 발생하고 여름철에는 감소하는 경향이 있으나, 하절기에도 지속적으로 발생하고 있으므로, 노로바이러스 식중독에 대한 경계심을 늦추지 말고 개인위생관리 및 식중독 예방에 각별한 주의를 기울여야 한다고 말했다.

특히, 낮 기온이 점차 높아지는 요즘 식중독 발생 위험성이 매우높으므로 “올바른 손씻기, 음식물은 속까지 충분히 익혀먹기,   물은 끓여먹기” 등 식중독 예방 3대 요령을 반드시 지켜줄 것을 당부하였다.

한편 시중에 유통돼는 정수기의 경우 일부 정수기에서 음용수로 적합하지 않다는 수질검사 결과가 최근 소비자 고발센터에 접수되었으나 W 정수기 회사의 경우 공신력 없는 자체 시험 결과를 제시하고 피해 소비자의 고충건을 무마한 사실 등이 드러나 시중에 유통된 정수기도 식중독에서 안전하지 않을 수 있다는 의혹이 제기되고 있다.
